Chapter 1: The Wailing Woman, Part 2

From the desk of Valtire Leythen, reviewed by Aestaril Leythen

We once again met in the investigations building, the same crowd as last time... Ascela, Ina, Corin, Abdul/Asif, Svetla, Bakes, Aestaril and I. We did however, have a new face.

Azazel, he's Expeditions, I believe? A monster hunter. I like him, he's serious but not too serious... he has good morals.

I caught Azazel up to speed as best as I could, Aestaril opened the portal for us. On the other side of the portal, we were met with an old mine... it looked to be abandoned for the most part. Inside were various skeletons and bats. I can only assume that the evil presence drove the miners out, which allowed the bats to move in... we're not entirely sure. A little ways into the mine, we were met with a living set of bones. He acknowledged us, speaking to Ascela, Abdul, Azazel. He led the group to a portal further inside; the source of the evil energy.

Within it, a pocket dimension.

Inside of the pocket dimension, there was a small estate with a large home.

Tombstones dotted the area, the house decorated with vines. The door was visibly locked, so Svetla and Abdul approached in an attempt to unlock the door. A magicka lock and physical lock each. Svetla unlocked hers with ease, the magicka cracking and falling away. Abdul broke his pick. To the side, Ina threw her staff at the window in an attempt to break it. Unfortunately, she is small, so not even a crack.

Abdul broke the window on the other side with relative ease, and we all crawled through the window.

On the inside of the house a tall mer stood in the center, holding a book in his hand. He wore imposing looking Daedric armour.

A few people snuck up on him, we didn't get much information out before he summoned skeletons. I didn't catch much past that. There was fighting, Corin took his staff, Azazel threw his goat, Bakes had a romantic moment with the necromancer. He seemed resistant to any sort of normal damage, Aestaril and some of the other mages discovered that he needed to be soul trapped to be dealt with. With help from Aestaril, Corin, Svetla and myself we were able to get him locked into a gem. On the way out, we had to convince Corin to hand the soul gem over to us. He's in the vault now...

I apologize for how messy this is, my mind has been somewhere else. I'll try to take notes while things are happening from now on. Zeldava keeps yelling... I should have finished this before all of this madness started. I think we need to stop normal operations for now and work on figuring out what is going on with that.

I'd still like to talk to some of these spirits, but I fear I may be the only one interested in that and I do not want to tell the others what to do.
