Types of Roleplay We Do
Introduction
At the Crimson Silver Company, our favorite kinds of roleplay are character driven. We focus on exploring the darker aspects of being a monster hunter in Tamriel, and these stories require lots of character development to have the impact we desire. For those reasons, much of our roleplay is driven by evolving storylines that stem from the various types of roleplay we do.
Casual Roleplay
Casual Roleplay is just that, casual! It can take place in any setting, with any premise, but often happens when people just want to hop on and get in-character for awhile. We host two organized Casual RP events at our tavern every week, but these are just launching points for you to tell your own stories.
The real goal of Casual Roleplay is to build a foundation for exploring your character and story ideas. These are blank slate events, where you get to bring your character’s personality to life. If you haven’t roleplayed with us before, this is an excellent way to get introduced to the other characters in our Company.
Theme Months
Theme months aren’t exactly roleplay per se, but they are idea starters. Each month, the Company picks a theme. Members can participate in a theme by drawing art of their characters, writing stories, or roleplaying with members and posting summaries. These themes serve as idea-starters and guidance for those people who want to write their own storylines but don’t know where to start.

Dungeons, Delves, and Open-World
This kind of roleplay happens out in the world, often in small groups. ESO is full of interesting sights and thematic encounters, and this RP allows you to tell your own stories with those elements. Want to use a delve in Craglorn as the backdrop for the culmination of your character’s storyline? Want to run dungeons with more flavor? Want to quest with a group that’s in-charcter? Then you’ll probably enjoy this kind of roleplay.
These are also excellent follow-ups to plot threads that are started in Casual RP, so explore using them in your storylines!
Events
Events are more scripted forms of roleplay, more akin to a tabletop roleplaying session than casual roleplay. While we don’t do these often, they are excellent for set-piece moments or as conclusions to guild-wide story-lines. Think a theme-park ride, but with edgy monster hunters instead of roller coasters.
